Thanks for sharing. Netflix is a technology company. They’ve been dabbling in content for the past few years and they’ve had as many missteps as successes. When you go up against the content king, you can’t afford to slip even once. The streaming landscape is going to move up to version 2.0 soon. For those who who have a bug up their asses RE corporate consolidation, get ready for more pain of the anal variety. Disney could merge with or buy Netflix, Netflix could buy HBO or some variation on that theme. The permutations are endless. When you play the game of content thrones, you either win or you die. Hee hee hee...

You know I wonder if Disney would let Marvel branch out into it's own little streaming service, like how DC got it's own with Universe?

Or maybe they can’t. I guess they can’t put the Netflix shows on right? They’d have to buy them but I kind of doubt Netflix would sell for a reasonable price.

Agent Carter was on ABC which is own by Disney, so not sure why they couldn't. As for the Netflix shows, I'm not sure what the agreement was. Supposedly Marvel can do something with Daredevil, Punisher and the other Defenders after 2020.

I just hope Marvel doesn’t reboot those characters. The actors are great choices for the roles and I’d much rather Marvel stick with them. Seeing Vincent D’Onofrio play Kingpin in a Spider-Man movie would blow my mind.

Not sure how it will work but I imagine even if they don’t technically reboot, they’ll probably recast, so I’d expect that. Who knows when they’ll ever get around to using them though. It sounds like they’re pretty busy.

According to this article published in Variety this past December, Netflix has exclusive rights to the shows they produced with Marvel until 2020. Their time is nearly up.

They can just start it up on D+ or Hulu (hope they combine it in my country since we done have Hulu yet) again in 2021. If they do I will watch s2 Punisher and s3 JJ.
