I heard it was because someone wanted them to make it as a movie ASAP and Marvel didn’t have any time to make one. So they went the tv route which was the worst thing they could have done for the Inhumans. Do you think it could've been successful with the proper time, money, and development or it's truly a less compelling concept than, say, Spider-Man or Black Panther? I vaguely recall picking up some Inhumans floppies a few years back and being surprised there was so much... backstory's not the right word. Mythology? I dunno. It seemed a bit dense, but it might've just been me. Absolutely. My question is though why did perlmutter want a movie so soon? There was already a team movie with Huardians.

He wanted to spite the X-Men and devalue them ASAP.

The story is that Ike only agreed on green lighting Black Panther and Captain Marvel if Kevin Feige agreed to make a Inhumans movie. This was before Disney gave Feige full control over Marvel Studios.
When that happened Feige cancelled the film and Ike forced Inhumans on tv.
I'm not happy with the outcome because the Royale Inhuman family is now wasted.

I didn't get a chance to see it, but I'd like to check it out. I'll probably torture myself and pick it up on DVD, if released.
