Pretty sure Karen Page and Foggy Nelson mattered. Hilarious that DD fans say that now, seeing how all they did in S1 and S2 was complain about them both. Firstly, I'm not a 'DD fan'. I thought it was good, but not like the 'greatest comic book series ever' as some people seemed to think it was. Secondly, what's with the generalisation? Making out that every person who watched DD complained about the characters of Karen and Foggy during Seasons 1 & 2. Unless you actually asked every person who watched the show what they thought of those characters during the first two seasons...how do you know how everyone feels regarding them? I personally liked their characters, and I've seen numerous others who did as well, so maybe the negative comments you saw regarding them was just a certain group of people? Personally, their characters being absent from the new show is a turn-off for me. |

Now admittedly, the comic fans being mad at Karen right from the start made some sense because Karen's big "claim to fame" in the DD comics was....becoming a heroin addicted Porn actress who needed money for her next hit so she told some people Daredevil's secret ID in exchange for cash. This information made it way to Kingpin who made Matt's civilian life a living Hell. She eventually got killed by Bullseye and has been dead ever since.
Yes, this was written by Frank Miller before anyone asks. The part about her being a heroin addicted porn actress who sells out Matt for heroin. Her death was by someone else.

I like Sandrine Holt as an actress, but I will have some issue not letting go of Ayelet Zurer; she had the right amount of warmth and coldness about her that made her have good chemistry with D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk.

How can continuity be retained when a totally different person is playing Vanessa? And I have my suspicions as to why. And I agree with him on that assessment. |
