They haven’t announced anything right? This doesn’t seem to imply a reboot. I’m sure if they use the characters they’d have their own props and might likely even recast but that’s not the same as rebooting. We’ll just have to see.

If they're going to recast, I'd prefer that they reboot. With a reboot or recast, true believers come out as winners either way, and we get to potentially double dip into two iterations of each show. Netflix's options for Jessica Jones, Punisher, Daredevil, Iron Fist and Luke Cage supposedly lapse in 2020, which means those shows will likely end up on Hulu. I can't imagine them doing family friendly iterations for Disney+ either way.

God I hope they don't recast. They did a pretty solid job casting the Netflix shows and it would be a big middle finger to the fans and the actors and actresses.

If they just made a Daredevil film for instance with no real reference to the Netflix show but doesn’t redo his origin and doesn’t contradict the show, then it’s not really a reboot. Maybe you could view it as one if you wanted to.

I welcome recasting and very much enjoy different portrayals. Now I’m also for keeping the cast if the can, but there might be reasons they can’t and that’s fine imo. I’m certainly not going to predetermine that it’s a bad thing. It might be a great thing.

As long as the characters can participate in the MCU in a meaningful way, I'm not concerned with exactly how they do it from a logistical standpoint.

I just meant recasting alone doesn’t necessarily mean the Netflix stuff suddenly isn’t cannon

Charlie Cox, Vincent D'Onofrio, and Kristen Ritter all seem to be really into it. I don't see any reason why they would need to recast.
