While I don't know anything about the character of She-Hulk, what I do know is that Tatiana Maslany is an awesome actress.
If you haven't seen the series Orphan Black, I'd highly recommend it, as she doesn't simply play many different characters, often onscreen at the same time (making you forget the days of the obvious 'split screen' effect when having an actor/actress play two characters at once), she makes one have to remind themselves that they are not watching multiple actresses on screen, but in fact one person playing multiple roles. Sure, other shows have done something sort of similar where they’ve had an actor/actress play a couple of different roles, but I don’t think anyone before has brought to life so many fully-realised characters all at once like Tatiana has. And as if that wasn't impressive enough, she then adds another layer to the complexity when she plays certain characters pretending to be other characters in the show. It goes without saying that Tatiana Maslany’s Emmy win for her multiple roles in the TV series Orphan Black was well-deserved and long overdue. I haven't seen her really hit it 'big' yet in movies. The last I heard she'd scored a regular role in the new Perry Mason series. If any actress has shown a wide range of acting skills, it's her. She deserves to lead her own movies ASAP.
I was so happy to hear of her casting in this show, as it was great to see she'd snagged another lead role after OB. I hoped being in She-Hulk would earn her even more attention/recognition (she deserves it all). I then got worried after hearing that Tatiana was denying having been cast in the role. Has there been anything concrete/any confirmation about her actually being cast as yet? If it doesn't end up being her, I imagine I'll be inevitably disappointed with whoever gets cast (after thinking it'd be her).

You'll be happy to know Jenn is an interesting character in he rown right and isn't just a genderswapped Hulk. Stan Lee saw to that. He had a big part in creating her and basically set the stage for her character, transformation, and development to take a very different path than Bruce Banner's. I don't want to spoil too much, but I think you'll be happy to see how different both her and her story are from the original Hulk's. |

So, it's now definitely 100% confirmed/guaranteed that Tatiana Maslany will be playing the title role? That's all I wanted to hear.

I'm going to love hearing their explanation for where Abomination and Leader have been for the last something-teen years by the time this premieres. He was mentioned a couple of times in Agents of SHIELD. They said he was imprisoned someplace but I don't remember the details. |

Excellent. Krysten Ritter really impressed me in Season 1 of Jessica Jones (sadly, Seasons 2 and 3 haven't ever been released here on DVD/Blu-ray, so I haven't seen them). Previously, I'd just known her for her comedic roles, but she handled playing the serious material well, and did such a good job of her portrayal as the damaged Jessica Jones. Out of the four shows, hers was the character I wanted to see more of. |
