Just saw it's on Netflix. Hope it's as good as the first season was!

Same here, @homergreg.
I loved the first season, and the comic book series it was based on (highly recommended if you haven't read it), so I am looking forward to Season 2.
FWIW, IMDb has the S2 episodes all rated between 8.0 and 9.0, so that's encouraging. And RT has it at 88%.

It is really good.
But you must not have a problem with a slow tempo

It is really good. But you must not have a problem with a slow tempo I find the slow tempo of the Netflix MCU series a bit of a bother but not a deal breaker. They do seem to stretch the number of episodes.

But, I do agree with @homergreg, the MCU Netflix shows would be better served with 10 episode seasons, instead of trying to stretch them out to 13 episodes. For example, the 8 episode first season of THE DEFENDERS was fantastic, I pretty much watched it all in one day, the pace was so frenetic.

Once upon a time in the West is one of my favorite movies ever. That is not really fast.

@wellibers, my man, great film that shows the solid use of slow tempo. For me, the Netflix MCU shows feel a bit "padded", rather than employing a slow tempo.

JJ season 2 >>>>season 1. I loved it. Jessie's mom looked really crazy, and they got the right actress for the role, and the other plotlines with Patsy and Jeri's were solid. I liked the Jeri character in season 1 and more so in season 2. I am also glad that the show focused on the other characters aside from Jessica. Turns out they too had interesting stories to tell.

Just finished it! My favorite Netflix Marvel series so far. All the plots and subplots tied into each other satisfyingly and I appreciated the character developments. It's a soap opera with supers to make it more interesting, but I like soap operas and I like this story.

I finished it, and I'm not sure what all the talk about pacing and tempo is with regards to this season (or most seasons of Marvel Netflix for that matter). Each character had their arch which had little to no fat in its execution. The only characters/subplots of S2 that may have been expendable were the super and his son.
Since when is more content for your money ever a bad idea? I think the complaints come from people who don't know how to pace themselves for the format. TV shows take stamina and investment. If you can't invest or are into quick fixes, you need to find another more suitable medium. If Netflix didn't drop all episodes at once and it took 13 weeks to get to the conclusion, I doubt we'd be hearing all of this "trim the content" noise.
As for my review, Season 2 maintains the high level of quality of season one but, I do miss the Purple Man. I like that the villain was a physical challenge for Jessica though.

If Netflix didn't drop all episodes at once and it took 13 weeks to get to the conclusion, I doubt we'd be hearing all of this "trim the content" noise. Somebody sees a story being stretched to fit the allotted episode count and their criticism is noise? I didn't see stretching in Jessica Jones season 2 at all. The writing and character development were very good, the plot and subplots were interesting, and there wasn't anything stretched so long that you could leave, get a snack and come back and not have a feeling that you might have missed something. But I can see it all over Iron Fist and it's got nothing to do with "stamina and investment in the format". It also happens at times in Daredevil, Luke Cage, and the first few episodes of The Punisher to an extent, but not so blatantly or intrusively to the story. That doesn't mean I can't enjoy the stories. I like them all overall, but it also doesn't mean I won't point it out as a valid criticism. If you can't see the basis for those observations on something like Iron Fist I could always force myself to watch it again and show you, but I really don't want to.
