Also, the fact that Star Wars is still so culturally important after so many decades is not something to discount.

Gonna have to disagree with that last statement. I'm enjoying the sequels as much as the original trilogy.

‘The Last Jedi’ may have been Darren Aronofsky’s ‘Mother!’ of ‘Star Wars’, but it was certainly better-made than typical rage-inducing films.
