Huh, John Pilgrim is the name of The Last American, another creator-owned Marvel character under the old Epic imprint. I wonder if that was intentional? Thanks for sharing.

It will be interesting to see the story unfold. I enjoyed the Netflix series version of Frank so much more than any of the film versions.

There are so many great Punisher villains to choose from but instead they're trying to be political so they can appear "woke", hopefully its handled fine because if they go out and pretty much say that all Christians and republicans/conservatives are bad people they will for sure go broke in many viewers' minds.

I'd like to know how they got this past Permutter. He's still in charge of the TV division, right?

Jigsaw is in the season and is supposedly playing a major role in the story.
Given how these Netflix shows have been going it's possible that this pilgrim dude will be the antagonist for the first 8 episodes and then Jigsaw takes over.
With the Charlottetown march and the recent Pittsburgh shooting, it's not unreasonable to have a villain that is modeled after the current political climate.
Frank Castle has killed Neo-Nazi's and White Surpremist before.

I guess its your turn to take one for the team... 😆😆😆😆 My side HAS been taking one for the team for decades now. Hollywood has portrayed people with even remotely Right-leaning tendencies and religious viewpoints as morons who need to be stopped for a long, long time. And it gets REAL old to be talked down to by people who just took your money so they could preach to you about how evil for you for being different from them in your world view. They shouldn't do it to Liberals, either. Most Christians are nothing like Neo-Nazi skinheads. We aren't racist. We DO care for our fellow humanity. We don't hate homosexuals even if the media likes to say we do. We don't hate Muslims regardless of how we're portrayed in the media. The Bible actually strictly forbids hatred, cruelty, and apathy to your neighbors, and as far as I'm concerned, people like The Crusaders, and many colonialists in America's history weren't really Christians despite their claims.

Most Christians you meet are about as dangerous as Mr. Rogers.

Guys I don’t think this is a big deal. There are ways to frame villains of any political leaning, and somebody has to be a villain, so it’s not necessarily a statement about the right in general.
